   Aldi plans to open 10-15 stores annually in Hungary, increasing the number of its units to over 110 in three years, according to published reports.
   Asda in the UK has introduced a range of pet foods with no artificial flavours or colours. The Hero range for dogs and Tiger range for cats come in resealable pouches and tins.
   Hemköp in Sweden is redesigning the packaging design for its Hemköp brand, composed of about 1,200 SKUs.
   Leclerc in France is expanding its internet activity that allows shoppers to order online and then collect their purchases at central distribution points. Currently, it has 150 such locations, a number it aims to boost to 450 by 2015.
  In Poland, Tesco is launching an online network which will contain data on its private label products and suppliers. The data will be available to Tesco’s private label suppliers.
   Carrefour has signed a partnership with Romanian retailer chain Angst to develop Carrefour Express stores in the country.
   Waitrose in the UK is adding ready meals to its ‘essential Waitrose’ range.
   Netto Marken-Discount is trialling in-store bakeries in Germany.
   Marks &Spencer is launching a 100 SKU world food range sourced from countries across the globe.
   Spar in the UK is introducing Falcon Valley wines, selling for 3.99 pounds a bottle.
   Delhaize sees the potential to eventually open hundreds of stores in Indonesia. Delhaize owns 51% of Super Indo, a group of 73 grocery stores in the islands of Java and Sumatra.
   Dia has transferred 50 Ed stores to the Dia banner in France last month. Dia will operate almost 600 Dia stores by the end of October.
   Casino has launched a new drive-through format under its ‘Express’ banner, along with a dedicated website. The retailer will also open 50 Petit Casino stores located adjacent to post offices.
   Tesco has opened beauty halls in three of its major UK stores, following the launch of six in-store professional salons earlier this year.
